2026 Telstra Connected Communities Grant Program – NOW OPEN!

Remote, rural and regional communities across Australia are invited to apply for funding to help their local ideas thrive

Delivered by Telstra in partnership with the Foundation for Rural & Regional Renewal (FRRR), this program is part of a long-term commitment to building stronger, more connected and resilient communities Over five years, $1 million will support grassroots projects that make a real difference where people live and work.


What’s Available?

Grants of up to $10,000 are available for eligible not-for-profit organisations to bring community projects to life.

Whether you're launching something new  or expanding an existing initiative, this funding can help grow your impact and support more people across rural and regional Australia.


Projects Must Align With One (or More) Key Themes:

Resilient Communities
Strengthening social connections and disaster preparedness so communities can recover and renew together 

Sustainable Communities
Supporting inclusive, diverse communities and promoting health, wellbeing and long-term prosperity 

Liveable Communities
Building digital skills and confidence so people can live, learn and work in an increasingly digital world

Key Dates

Applications close: 5pm (AEDT), Thursday 26 March 2025
Funding available this round: $200,000
Grant amounts: Up to $10,000 per project
Successful applicants announced: June 2026
Project delivery period: 12 months (completed by June 2027)
