Thank you for having your say: Augathella Main Street works to begin 16 November

Murweh Shire Council sincerely thanks everyone who took part in the consultation on the future of the town street garden beds. The feedback received was considered by Councillors and helped shape the outcome.

Reconstruction works on Main Street are expected to start on or about Monday 16 November 2026 and will take approximately three weeks. Main Street will be reconstructed between Annie Street and Bendee Street. The pavement will be strengthened as part of the reconstruction, and importantly, following consultation, the garden beds will remain.

Residents should expect some disruption while the work is underway. Motorists and pedestrians are asked to take care, follow signage and allow extra travel time.

Council thanks the Augathella community for its patience while these works are carried out.
