TWINKLE & THE MOON COMES TO CHARLEVILLE

Who’s ready to blast off on an adventure full of songs, make-believe and storytelling?

Twinkle and the Moon is an interactive, theatre and literacy experience for children aged 2 - 7 years and their families.

Coming to Charleville on Friday 11th August Twinkle & the Moon will be presented at the Town Hall at 10.30am for the show (40 mins) and 3.15pm for the workshop (60 mins).

Twinkle & the Moon will be performed by its creator Nadia Sunde, Nadia is one of Queensland’s most celebrated and highly acclaimed children’s theatre writers and performers. An internationally and nationally awarded children's songwriter, she is also the author of three published children's picture books, a highly experienced early childhood music and story arts educator, former ABC radio presenter and mother of two.

The show was originally commissioned by the First 5 Forever Program and Gold Coast City Libraries in 2021 to encourage a love of reading and confidence in imaginative play.

Snuggled into their blanket cubby house, Nadia and Twinkle always share a book together before nap time. Today they’re reading a book about a rocket ship! But...when the book is finished and it’s time for bed…Twinkle wants to play a game instead!

With a little help from the ’magic nap sack', Twinkle and Nadia use the power of imagination to blast off on an adventure full of sing-along songs, make believe and fantastical storytelling.  Join Twinkle in one small step for mouse-kind…and one giant leap of the imagination!

Presented by Red Chair, a Queensland-based performing arts and event management company, Twinkle & the Moon is touring the central west as part of the Western Touring Circuit.  The Circuit is a collaboration of western Queensland Councils working together with Red Ridge Interior Queensland Ltd to bring quality touring performances to our remote region.

The Western Touring Circuit is supported by the Regional Arts Development Fund, a partnership between the Queensland Government and Murweh Shire Council to support local arts and culture in regional Queensland.
