Murweh Shire launches an international architectural competition for the design of a new museum.

The Murweh Shire (in partnership with Griffith University) is pleased to announce the launch of an international architectural competition for the design of a new museum, the Outback Museum of Australia (OMOA), to be located in the Top Secret Tourism Precinct of Charleville, Queensland. 

​Architects are invited to submit their candidature to this Architectural Competition that calls on their creativity and their highest level of skills to achieve design excellence. Providing a sustainable and resilient building, the proposal should demonstrate an understanding of the outback - and Charleville in particular, land of the Bidjara People- creating a memorable experience for tourists and locals alike.
