Arts and Culture

Murweh Shire’s arts & cultural community are encouraged to apply for funding as part of the  of the Shire’s Regional Arts Development Fund (RADF) program.  Usually 3 funding rounds are held per year, please ring the Liaison Officer for further details (4656 8355)

Funding (of up to $10,000.00) is available for one-off, short term projects that offer professional arts, cultural and heritage opportunities under the following categories;

  • Developing Regional Skills
  • Building Community Cultural Capacity
  • Interest-free Arts Loan
  • Cultural Tourism
  • Contemporary collections/stories
  • Regional Partnerships
  • Concept Development

RADF is a partnership between the State Government,  Arts Queensland, and the Murweh Shire Council, which operates with community support.  RADF provides regional Queenslanders with funding for one-off, short-term projects that offer professional arts, cultural and heritage development opportunities.
