Libraries

The Libraries in Charleville, Augathella and Morven receive new and different titles each quarter to ensure that Library stock is up-to-date, the Charleville Library houses approximately 7000 titles. Any book or information not held at the Library may be requested from the State Library.

Murweh Shire Libraries have access to

books in large type
talking books (books on tape which are useful for people whose sight is failing)
books in languages other than English
Adult literacy books - high interest & low reading levels
VHS videos & DVD’s on a variety of subjects
OPAL – Online Public Access in Libraries (Internet)
Magazines
Don’t miss the music CD’s - Rock, Country, Popular, Classical etc.

Each borrower is entitled to choose 8 items, such as books, magazines and cassettes etc. during each visit. If you cannot return the books by the due date, simply contact the Library and your borrowing period can be extended.

HOW DO YOU JOIN?

Membership is free to all adults who reside within the Shire area and are enrolled on the State Electoral Roll within the Shire. All you need to do is complete an enrolment card available at the Library.
