- Grew up on the family’s property “Penang” just east of Dalby.
- Educated in Dalby and completed secondary school at Nudgee College Brisbane.
- Completed apprenticeship as a Diesel Fitter/ Heavy Earthmoving equipment after finishing school.
- Married Leanne in 1982 and have 3 grown children Rebecca, Daniel & Cassandra.
- Moved to “Ularunda” south of Morven in 1985 to work and manage the family’s beef cattle property where he still resides.
- Active in the community for most of his life being involved in local clubs, Bush fire brigade, Cattlemen’s Union of Australia and am currently the president of the Morven Race Club.
- Appointed to council in July 2007 for Division 2 upon the resignation of Cr Cheryl Barrett.
Andrew has a strong belief in the south west and the Murweh Shire as a great place to live and pursue his passion for working on the land and breeding beef cattle. Andrew and wife Lea love the lifestyle and cannot imagine living any where else. Andrew has had an interest in local government for many years and am excited by the opportunity to serve as a councillor and do his best to make a difference. |
